To access your SpamExperts control panel and create email addresses inside it, please use the following guide:

1. Login to APC billing account (https://billing.apc.sg/clientarea.php), click manage under "Manage Your Email".



2. In SpamExpert control panel under the Outgoing section Click "Manage users".



3. Select the "Authenticating User" tab.



4. Enter the desired username/email prefix and password and click "Add" to create the account.
(Password should be the same as what you have set in your cPanel/Plesk for the same email address | For e.g. me@yourdomain.com cPanel/Plesk email password is 1234me then 1234me password should be used here.)

To enable TLS on MAC, please use the following guide:

Kindly note the following guide is base on Macintosh OS X 10.4 using Apple Mail 2. Kindly note for newer Apple Mail version, the location of the mentioned function may be different.

If you are using other mail software, kindly seek assistance from the provider of the software.

1. Launch Mail.
2. Mail > Preferences.


3. On "Account" tab and on the left select the email account that you intend to set the TLS. Click on "Server Settings" under "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)".

 
4. Tick the checkbox for "Use Secure Socket Layer (SSL)" and kindly ensure the value is either "25" or "587" and click on "OK" button. 



Once you have set the TLS, kindly try to send and receive again.

STARTTLS is a way to take an existing insecure connection and upgrade it to a secure connection using SSL/TLS.

To change your existing connection to TLS in your Outlook, please use the follow guide.

Kindly note that this guide uses Outlook 2007 and newer Outlook version, the location of the mentioned function may be different.

  1. Launch your Outlook
  2. Click on "Tools" > "Account Settings"

 

  1. Under "Email" tab, double click on the email address that you need to make the change.

Before proceeding the following, kindly note down of the current working value for the "Outgoing server (SMTP)" and the down drop selection for "Use the following types of encrypted connection". This is so that in the event there is any issue afterwards, you may revert back to the working value and settings.

  1. Click on "Advanced" tab. Under "Outgoing Server" > "Use the following types of encrypted connection" click on the drop down and select "TLS".
    Outgoing port able to use with TLS are: 25 and 587.

  1. Please also ensure under "Outgoing Server" tab, the checkbox for "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" is selected.

  1. Click on "OK" and click on "Test Account Settings" and it will proceed to test the settings you set. If all goes well, it will show all "Complete" under the "Status" section. Then you can proceed to close Windows you opened.

For cPanel services:

SMTP

Port: 25 or 587. Type of connection available to use for this port number: TLS


IMAP

Port: 143. Type of connection available to use for this port number: None

Port: 993. Type of connection available to use for this port number: TLS


POP3

Port: 110. Type of connection available to use for this port number: None

Port: 995. Type of connection available to use for this port number: TLS


For Plesk services:
 

SMTP

Port: 25. Type of connection available to use for this port number: None

Port: 587. Type of connection available to use for this port number: TLS


IMAP

Port: 143. Type of connection available to use for this port number: None

Port: 993. Type of connection available to use for this port number: TLS


POP3

Port: 110. Type of connection available to use for this port number: None

Port: 995. Type of connection available to use for this port number: TLS

To backup your email you may do the following:

On your outlook, click on File > Import and Export > Click on Export to a file > Personal File Folder (.pst) > Select which account (eg. Personal Folder. If you have multiple account, it would be best to export them) you wish to backup and click on Include subfolders > Then click on browse and select Desktop (so that the file exported will be on desktop).

After you have finish exporting, on outlook do the following:

In Microsoft Outlook, from the E-mail Accounts menu, select Tools. On the E-mail Accounts wizard window, select Add a new e-mail account, and then click Next. On the Server Type page, make sure to choose “IMAP” as the server type and then click Next. On the Internet E-mail Settings window, enter your information as follows:

Username and Email address: apc@apc.sg

Password: password

Incoming mail server (IMAP) and Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.apc.sg

 

After you are done, Click More Settings. On the Internet E-mail Settings window, go to the Outgoing Server tab. Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Click on Advance tab, change the Incoming server (IMAP) to 143 and Click OK.

Click Next. (when you see the email account page, where you key in the username and password earlier) Click Finish. (when it shows you congratulations)

 

** (If you have exported multiple .pst file earlier do repeat this step) On your outlook, click on File > Import and Export > Click on Import from another program or file > Choose Personal Folder File (.pst), Click Browse and choose Desktop (where you exported earlier) select the pst file > Under Select the folder to import from, click Personal Folders, select the Include subfolders option in the check box then click Finish > Click OK when you receive the following message: You are importing data to a location that does not fully support Unicode. To avoid loss of multilingual data, it is recommended that you choose a location that supports Unicode, such as a Microsoft Office Outlook Personal Folders File.Click OK to continue with the chosen location.
